Description: I wrote "Welcome the Stranger" a year ago. I've written a lot of secular tunes, but this is my second hymn. It's based on the gospel story of Jesus' walking with and teaching Cleopas and his companion. I go to the Falls Church Episcopal. I was inspired by a sermon I heard and the next morning the song poured out of me in a half hour. It truly was a gift from God.
