I'm finding it hard to maintain normalcy. Hope everyone is safe and well! Let's all hope for better in the future! “Help Us Find Some Common Ground" is a song with a positive message which is being well received by level-headed, practically minded people who want to move forward instead of moving backward. I wrote this song for people everywhere around the world. Tt was, in fact, inspired by the critical need all the American people have to move away from the extreme polarization that now exist and direct our thinking and actions toward finding common ground. The level of negativity, finger-pointing and outright fighting is out of control and, if we don’t take action, we will all end up “losers” because polarization leads to paralyzation. We can easily see the effects of this with our elected leaders and the media. It's perfectly appropriate to disagree. But, at some point, we must stop all this blaming and shaming, and find a way to move forward for the benefit of all the American people. The concept of comprise is perfectly appropriate, and it’s even more so for the chaotic times we are living in now. There’s too much at stake. We simply cannot allow ourselves to become paralyzed. As our history has shown time and time again, when all the American people focus on the commonalities which bind us together not only as citizens, but as a people, we succeed. If we have the will, we can put our differences aside, find the strength we need to bend instead of breaking, and work together to solve problems for the good of everyone.
